ABOUT THE GRANT

The Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) Business Reach Grant Program is intended to incentivize economic development by encouraging investment in interior renovations, improvements, and build outs for existing or new businesses. The program will offer a 50% matching grant up to $10,000 for reimbursement. Improvements must contribute to the overall value of downtown business and investments.

The Arizona Innovation Challenge (AIC), one of the largest business plan competitions in the country, is designed to advance innovation and technology commercialization opportunities in Arizona by assisting early-stage ventures to scale. All applicants receive feedback on their business plan from experienced entrepreneurial judges. AIC semifinalists and finalists who do not become AIC awardees gain access to Venture Raise, a 12-week hybrid accelerator that will prepare startups for funding. AIC awardees receive a minimum $50,000 of non-dilutive funding and three months of customized support with an ACA Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

Main Street Iowa Open 4 Business Grant
Main Street Iowa

Main Street Iowa offers the Open 4 Business program to encourage business development in designated Main Street districts. The Open 4 Business contest launched in 2015, is an opportunity for businesses located within the Main Street district, to compete for a chance to win grant funds to assist with a business development or expansion project that will help you grow your business. Businesses will be required to complete an online application and submit a short video (3-minute maximum time limit) outlining your business idea and how it will benefit the local economic climate in our community. A 25% cash match is required. Businesses must have been in operation for at least 1 year to apply. The grant funds are administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Downtown Resource Center and Main Street Iowa program.

Philadelphia Commercial Real Estate Acquisition Program
Philadelphia Department of Commerce

The Commercial Real Estate Acquisition Loan (CREAL) Program provides Philadelphia small business owners with a grant of up to $35,000 for closing costs alongside a mortgage loan of up to $350,000 to purchase commercial property in low- and moderate-income areas. Administered by the City of Philadelphia's Department of Commerce in partnership with the Women's Opportunities Resource Center (WORC), the program is designed to promote asset ownership and help business owners build generational wealth by transitioning from leasing to owning their commercial space. Eligible properties must be located on an approved commercial corridor, and technical assistance is provided throughout the purchase process — both before and after acquisition. The program prioritizes applicants who are unlikely to access traditional lending due to financial barriers. To qualify, applicants must be a business owner with a low-to-moderate income (or own a business located in a low-to-moderate income community), have a credit score of 550 or higher, be registered and licensed with the City of Philadelphia, and be current on city business taxes.

DE Graduated Lab Space Incentive Program
Delaware Division of Small Business

The Graduated Lab Space Incentive Program supports Delaware companies that need more lab space to operate and innovate. Businesses can apply for a grant that covers up to one-third of the fit-out or building costs for a new lab space; the maximum grant amount is $70 per square foot for up to 50,000 square feet.

The Façade Improvement Program offers a 50/50 reimbursement grant to developers, business owners, and tax-generating, income-producing commercial property owners in Oxford, AL seeking to enhance the exterior appearance of their buildings. Structured into three tiers, the program provides funding on a per-address, per-year basis. Eligible improvements include work on the front, rear, and sides of a building, as well as exterior doors, windows, shutters, gates, and other architectural or decorative elements that contribute to the overall façade. The program’s mission is to stimulate revitalization and attract private-sector investment by proactively addressing deteriorating property conditions and encouraging enhancements that boost the economic vitality of the area.
