The Kauaʻi Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant (SBEEG) provides Kauaʻi small businesses with rebates covering the labor costs associated with energy efficiency upgrades at their commercial facilities. Administered by the Kauaʻi Economic Development Board (KEDB) in partnership with the County of Kauaʻi's Office of Economic Development and the Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC), the grant operates alongside KIUC's Commercial Retrofit Program, with KEDB funding labor costs and KIUC's program covering a percentage of materials costs for the same eligible projects. Together, the two programs are designed to reduce the upfront financial barrier that small businesses face when retrofitting their facilities for energy efficiency. Eligible upgrades include air conditioning, motors, lighting controls, and refrigeration. To qualify, a business must be classified under KIUC Rate Schedule J or G. Grant amounts vary based on the scope of the project, with prior awards ranging from a few hundred dollars to roughly $9,000 per business depending on the upgrade. The program operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested businesses begin the process by submitting an interest form to KIUC, after which KIUC conducts an energy audit at the business, identifies eligible retrofits, and recommends materials costs it can cover. The business then solicits a contractor quote for installation work, which KEDB reviews to determine the grant amount before the business signs a grant agreement and proceeds with installation. KIUC conducts a final site visit upon completion, after which the business receives its rebate from KEDB.

A matching grant program to support small, locally-owned, and operated businesses in the City of Virginia Beach. Façade improvement grants (FIG) are reimbursements for significant exterior improvements for small, locally owned, and operated businesses located in any commercial or industrial-zoned area within the City of Virginia Beach. Funding is not an entitlement and is available on a competitive, first-come, first-served basis until funds for the fiscal year are awarded. The program will match small business owners', or those who lease to small businesses, investments up to $10,000,for exterior building, site, and outdoor dining improvements. Grants are performance-based and will be authorized by VBDA after successful completion and evaluation of the improvements. Paid invoices and receipts must be submitted.

Underrepresented communities continue to fuel entrepreneurship nationwide, with historically excluded founders driving innovation and economic growth. Despite this momentum, systemic barriers still prevent many from accessing the funding they need to scale. That is why we are excited to announce the return of the Dream Makers Founder Grant in 2025! This $1 million grant fund, established by Nancy Twine, is dedicated to supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs and elevating the talents and innovations of historically excluded founders. As part of this multi-year commitment, the Pledge will award $125,000 annually, distributing five $25,000 grants each year to outstanding business owners.

The Wisconsin Training for Resilient Advanced Industry Needs (WisTRAIN) Grant provides Wisconsin employers with competitive grant funding to deliver employer-driven, occupational skills training focused on advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence (AI). Administered by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and funded through approximately $7 million in federal dollars secured by the Evers Administration via the U.S. Department of Labor's Industry-Driven Skills Training Fund, the program is open to employers of any size operating in Wisconsin. WisTRAIN supports a broad range of worker training programs, including apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships, with a focus on equipping the state's workforce with skills aligned to rapidly evolving technologies such as data analytics, cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, and robotics. Eligible employers must operate in Wisconsin, propose training that supports occupations, technologies, or workforce needs related to advanced manufacturing, AI, or related emerging industries, and commit to employing trainees in Wisconsin-based positions. The program is part of Governor Evers' broader Workforce Solutions Initiative and aligns with recommendations from the Governor's Task Force on Workforce and Artificial Intelligence, which was established in 2023 to study how AI will transform business, education, and other key sectors of the state economy.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit grant applications to support research on the discovery and development of interventions to prevent and/or treat substance use disorders (SUDs) and overdose, including medications and medical devices to treat co-morbid SUDs. This includes preclinical and clinical research studies that will have high impact and quickly yield the necessary results to advance candidate interventions closer to regulatory approval or clinical adoption.
