About the Grant

The KeyBank Foundation is investing $300,000 to support small businesses and commercial property owners located in the city of Rochester’s EMMA and Beechwood neighborhoods. The program will provide grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 for capital improvements such as façade upgrades, lighting, signage, interior repairs, accessibility enhancements and safety improvements—projects designed to immediately improve the appearance, functionality and walkability of neighborhood business corridors.

The Workplace Accessibility Grant offers financial assistance to local businesses making necessary workplace modifications for employees with disabilities. Grant funds can be used for physical modifications (e.g., ramps, accessible restrooms), assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, ergonomic keyboards), flexible work arrangements (e.g., telework technology), and communication tools (e.g., Braille materials).

The Halstead Grant

The Halstead Grant is an annual award for emerging silver jewelry artists. Applicants submit answers to 15 business questions in addition to their design portfolios. The experience is designed to help jewelry entrepreneurs create a strategy to kick-start their careers. The grand prize is a $7,500 cash grant plus other benefits.

Sacramento Economic Gardening 2.0
City of Sacramento

The city of Sacramento is offering business consulting and matching grant funds for local companies in an effort to build the region’s economy. Participants receive executive-level market intelligence and growth strategy consulting culminating in eligibility for a matching reimbursement grant of up to $50,000 to support growth strategy implementation. To qualify for the program, companies need to be a for-profit business in the city of Sacramento, employ five to 99 employees and generate $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue.

NIDCD Research Grants for Translating Basic Research into Clinical Practice
National Institutes of Health

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is intended to provide an avenue for basic scientists, clinicians and clinical scientists to jointly initiate and conduct translational research projects which translate basic research findings into clinical tools for better human health.
