The Clackamas County Tourism Business Grant Program provides Clackamas County tourism-related businesses with grants of up to $100,000 to fund projects that help them grow and enhance the visitor experience. Administered by the Clackamas County Office of Economic Development in partnership with the Office of Tourism, the program is a one-time, $1 million initiative structured around two funding tracks of $500,000 each: a Small Business Acceleration Track, which supports capital investments, physical improvements, and workforce development projects for small tourism businesses; and a Technical & Professional Services Track, which supports more established businesses with projects requiring specialized expertise to remove barriers to growth. Eligible applicants must operate a tourism-related business located in Clackamas County, defined as one whose products, services, or operations contribute to the local travel and tourism economy and that appeals to visitors traveling from 50 or more miles away. The Small Business Acceleration Track is open to either existing small businesses (registered for 2+ years with 10 or fewer employees) or early-stage ventures (registered for less than 3 years with 3 or fewer employees including founders), and requires a minimum 25% match of total project cost. National franchises and chains are not eligible, except for lodging businesses. Funds may be used for capital investment (equipment, software, physical assets), physical improvements (property upgrades, expansion, new locations), or workforce projects (staff training, new permanent hires, converting part-time to full-time roles), with all projects required to demonstrably improve visitor experience or accessibility.

Purpose: The purpose of the California Forest Improvement Program (CFIP) is to encourage private and public investment in, and improved management of, California forest lands and resources, to ensure adequate high quality timber supplies, related employment and other economic benefits, and the protection, maintenance, and enhancement of a productive and stable forest resource system for the benefit of present and future generations. Description: The program scope includes the improvement of all forest resources including fish and wildlife habitat, and soil and water quality. Cost-share assistance is provided to private and public ownerships containing 20 to 5,000 acres of forest land. Cost-shared activities include: Preparation of a Forest Management Plan by a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) and RPF Supervision of the following: Reforestation, Site Preparation, Trees and Planting, Tree Shelters, Stand Improvement, Pre-commercial Thinning or Release, Pruning, Follow-up (includes mechanical, herbicide and/or slash disposal follow-up), Forestland conservation practices / fish and wildlife habitat improvement Broadcast/controlled/cultural burning is not eligible for CFIP cost share.

Binc helps bookstore owners, booksellers, and comic store employees and owners with unforeseen emergency financial needs. The Foundation assesses each request to determine how best to provide relief. If approved, grants are typically paid to third-party vendors.

The Las Cruces Small Business Safety Improvement Grant Program provides Las Cruces small businesses, qualifying nonprofits, and commercial property owners with reimbursement grants of up to $5,000 to fund security improvements designed to enhance business safety and deter crime. Administered by the City of Las Cruces Economic Development Department in partnership with the Las Cruces Police Department, the program is geographically targeted to two Metropolitan Redevelopment Areas (MRAs): the El Paseo/South Solano MRA and the W. Picacho and Motel Boulevard MRA. Eligible security improvements include security cameras, locks, doors, door and window sensors, outdoor lighting, and fencing. To qualify, businesses and nonprofits must be independently owned, have 40 or fewer full-time employees, and be located within the eligible MRA boundaries. Commercial property owners located within the MRAs are also eligible to apply. Grants are issued on a first-come, first-served basis as a reimbursement, meaning applicants must complete their improvements and pay upfront before submitting for reimbursement. In addition to grant funding, participating businesses can access free Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessments through the Las Cruces Police Community Outreach Unit, which include on-site safety evaluations, crime prevention recommendations such as landscaping changes and Neighborhood Watch coordination, and connections to community safety training resources.

The Agricultural Products Utilization Commission (APUC) creates new wealth through the development of new and expanded uses of North Dakota's agricultural products through a grant program.
