Beasley Small Business Grant

Wisconsin companies can be reimbursed for specific expenses associated with a short-term export development project that will help to grow their presence in an international market. This grant program is tiered to provide a base amount of support (up to $10,000 per application, limited to three total grants per company), with a higher level of support (up to $30,000 per application, limited to six total grants per company) available for companies that have completed ExporTech.

The Bethlehem Microenterprise Grant Program provides Bethlehem, New York microenterprises with grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000 to support new and existing small businesses with five or fewer employees. Administered by the Town of Bethlehem's Department of Economic Development and Planning and funded through the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the grant is designed to help businesses purchase capital goods (including machinery, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and software) or provide working capital to support business operations. Eligible applicants must be a private for-profit business (corporation, partnership, or sole proprietorship) located or planning to locate within the Town of Bethlehem, with five or fewer employees including the owner. Because the program is funded with federal CDBG dollars, all grants must meet a national objective: businesses must either be owned by a low-to-moderate income (LMI) individual or create at least one new full-time-equivalent job available to LMI persons within a 24-month grant period. Applicants must also contribute a minimum 10% cash equity match, complete an approved Entrepreneurial Training Program before receiving funds, and at least 50% of grant funds in each round are reserved for start-up businesses (those operating less than six months at the time of application). Grant funds cannot be used for real estate purchases, debt repayment, façade or interior construction, or any investment outside the scope of the business. Previous recipients may reapply, with combined first- and second-time awards capped at $45,000.

The city of Westminster, CO has multiple grant programs available for small businesses. These include training grants of $500-$5,000 for both employees and entrepreneurs for classrom and on-the-job training. They also have multiple improvement grants which reimburse business expenses spent on sustainability and facade upgrades. Grants of up to $35,000 are available to small businesses in the manufacturing or skilled production industry for the express purpose of training incumbent workers as quickly and effectively as possible on new automation technology. The program is available to existing Minnesota Businesses located outside of the seven county metropolitan area OR located in the cities of Cannon Falls, Hanover, Rockford, Northfield, and New Prague that are investing in new automation technology at the project location. Training is for existing, full-time jobs paying at least 120% of federal poverty guidelines for a family or four. For 2025, this is $38,580 per year.

The city of Haysville is offering a cash incentive to new businesses coming to the area. New restaurants can receive $20,000 to put toward the business within city limits. The $20,000 grants would be paid to the business over the first three years of operation, when small businesses tend to struggle the most.
