This program supports East Trenton business owners who want to start a new operation within the city. The Small Business Improvement Grant—which offers up to $6,000—is available to existing businesses with five or fewer employees. The Small Business Startup Grant—which offers up to $2,000—is available to prospective entrepreneurs who need capital to cover startup costs.

National Institutes of Health
The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism solicits applications for an R01 Clinical Trial Optional mechanism focusing on alcohol health services. This NOFO will broadly focus on closing the treatment gap for individuals with alcohol use disorder (AUD); within this focus, there are five major areas of emphasis: (1) increasing access to treatment for AUD, (2) making treatment for AUD more appealing, (3) examining cost structures and insurance systems, (4) conducting studies on dissemination and implementation of existing evidence-based approaches to treating AUD, and (5) reducing health disparities as a means of addressing the treatment gap in AUD for health disparity populations.

It Pay$ to Plug In provides grants to offset the cost of purchasing and maintaining electric vehicle charging stations. The program is designed to expand New Jersey’s growing network of electric vehicle infrastructure, allowing residents, businesses, and government agencies to purchase and drive electric vehicles. EVs dramatically reduce vehicle emissions and improve air quality for everyone.
Chicago Community Development Grant - Small
City of Chicago
The City of Chicago helps support business and neighborhood vitality through Community Development Grant (CDG) awards. CDGs use proceeds from the 2024 Housing and Development Bond and other funding sources to support a variety of eligible, business-related investments in construction and real estate development. Small grants up to $250,000 are intended to support eligible commercial, mixed-use and light manufacturing projects. Grants provide funding for up to 75% of total eligible project costs involving new construction, rehabilitation or both. Priority is given to projects with strong local impacts that leverage local talents, capacities and institutions and contribute to community vitality. Private and non-profit developers, property owners and businesses are eligible to apply.

If you’re a woman business owner in Florida, New York or Texas, we invite you to enter the contest by completing the online application form and submitting a 3-minute video telling us about your business and how your business would benefit from $15,000. Ten semi-finalists will be selected from all eligible entries and will have the opportunity to present their business during the first round of judging at a live event in Fort Lauderdale, FL
