This program supports East Trenton business owners who want to start a new operation within the city. The Small Business Improvement Grant—which offers up to $6,000—is available to existing businesses with five or fewer employees. The Small Business Startup Grant—which offers up to $2,000—is available to prospective entrepreneurs who need capital to cover startup costs.

Small Business, Big Dreams: Women in Business Challenge

If you’re a woman business owner in Florida, New York or Texas, we invite you to enter the contest by completing the online application form and submitting a 3-minute video telling us about your business and how your business would benefit from $15,000. Ten semi-finalists will be selected from all eligible entries and will have the opportunity to present their business during the first round of judging at a live event in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Englewood Business Acceleration Grant
City of Englewood

The Business Acceleration Grant supports existing businesses and provides funding assistance that allows for the expansion or improved operation of qualified Englewood businesses. The grant offers up to $10,000 for physical/capital investments that support expanding businesses, improve business operations, or foster business retention. Capital improvements are permanent investments in the building or on the property, which are generally associated with a building permit. Businesses open in Englewood for a minimum of two years are eligible to apply. Businesses that apply for funding assistance must either own their building or if the business is a tenant have a minimum of two years remaining on a lease for eligibility. Successful grant applications should demonstrate that funding will yield an increase in the number of employees at the business or an increase in sales revenues.

Replacing, Removing, or Upgrading Underground Storage Tanks Grant
CA State Water Resources Control Board

Purpose: RUST grants may be used to finance up to 100 percent of the costs necessary to upgrade, remove, or replace UST project tanks to comply with the requirements of Health and Safety Code sections 25284.1, 25292.05, 25292.4, 25292.5, or 41954. Description: Replacing, Removing, or Upgrading Underground Storage Tanks (RUST) grants are available to assist small business underground storage tank (UST) owners and operators in financing up to 100 percent of the costs necessary to upgrade, remove, or replace project tanks to comply with the requirements of Health and Safety Code section 25284.1, 25292.05, 25292.4, 25292.5, or 41954. Please note that removal-only projects are now eligible for RUST grants. Grants are available for between $3,000 and $70,000 to eligible UST owners/operators. An additional $140,000 in RUST grant moneys above the $70,000 maximum is available for remote public fueling stations for the purpose of removing and replacing a single-walled UST.

Athens Interior Rennovation Grant
Athens Downtown Development Authority

The Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) Business Reach Grant Program is intended to incentivize economic development by encouraging investment in interior renovations, improvements, and build outs for existing or new businesses. The program will offer a 50% matching grant up to $10,000 for reimbursement. Improvements must contribute to the overall value of downtown business and investments.
