Miramar Small Business Grant

LIFT was created as a way of utilizing Rutland's enhanced solar tax revenue to support future business investment and job creation. The City holds half of all tax revenue generated from private solar development to fund this incentive program. The LIFT program offers three different tiers: the $10,000 reimbursable grant for fixed infrastructure/renovations/upgrades, $5,000 grant and the HFCU up to $50,000 secured loan. The $10,000 LIFT reimbursable grant is for fixed infrastructure renovations or upgrades to buildings within the City. It covers costs up to $10,000, or 50% of the renovation costs, whichever is less. There are also opportunities for $5,000 grants which may be used for more general costs for a City business. A Revolving Loan Fund program, jointly funded and administered by Heritage Federal Credit Union, is available with secured loans of up to $50,000 available to qualifying businesses. The use of this funding is flexible and interest rates on the loans are below market rate.

The Albuquerque Black Business Fund provides Albuquerque-based for-profit and nonprofit businesses with grants of up to $5,000 to support economic empowerment and growth in the local business community. Administered by the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico, the program is structured into three tiers based on business maturity, with award amounts scaling upward as documented business tenure and financial reporting increase. Tier One awards up to $2,000 to businesses in operation for at least six months. Tier Two awards up to $3,500 to businesses in operation for at least two years, with current tax filings required. Tier Three awards up to $5,000 to businesses in operation for at least three years, with three years of tax filings and current financial statements required. To qualify at any tier, applicants must be registered and operating within the Albuquerque city limits, have a primary business location in Albuquerque (P.O. Boxes are not permitted), be in good standing with the New Mexico Secretary of State, and be a current member of the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico (small businesses with 1 to 5 employees can join the Chamber for an annual fee of $100). Both for-profit and nonprofit/tax-exempt organizations are eligible. For-profit applicants must specify how grant funds will benefit and grow their business, while nonprofits must specify how funds will be used for programs that serve the community. Example uses include equipment or supplies, hiring additional staff, marketing and promotional activities, rent or lease payments for business premises, training or continuing education, community-based programs, and other strategic investments to enhance operations. Applications are accepted on a quarterly cycle, and previous grant recipients are not eligible to receive additional grants under this program. Award amounts are subject to change based on fund balance, and all grant recipients must submit a report within one year detailing how the funds were spent and their impact on the business or organization, including proof of expenditure.

We’ve improved and expanded on the 2023 Business Security Grant and are reopening as the Sync South Bend Security Grant. This grant will sponsor new technology installations or upgrades for organizations across the city. You can apply for either up to $4,000 of funds toward eligible installations like cameras, security infrastructure, or lighting OR up to $2,900 for reimbursement of only a fususCORE. The Women’s Business Development Council is offering grants of up to $2,500 to qualified start-up businesses The WBDC Launch Pad Grant Program offers newly established businesses the opportunity to receive a $2,500 grant to put toward start-up costs. The grant funds cannot be used towards payroll/to pay yourself, real estate improvements (e.g. construction costs), reimbursement for past purchases or debt repayment.

This program is open to new businesses that used the ZenBusiness platform to launch their business within the past three to six months. Applications are now open and are accepted quarterly. Winners receive a $5,000 grant, as well as free access to select ZenBusiness products.
