About the Grant

This grant provides reimbursement-based microgrants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to help small businesses in Moore County strengthen their operations and contribute to local economic vitality. Eligible businesses include retail, restaurant, and service-based businesses with a current storefront presence in Moore County. Businesses must be locally owned and independently operated, legally incorporated, and have 50 or fewer employees.

Grant funds may be used for interior improvements and fixtures, storefront beautification and exterior renovations, equipment purchases, technology upgrades, strategic inventory purchases, marketing and advertising materials, website development and e-commerce platforms, health and safety upgrades, accessibility improvements and workforce development initiatives. “These types of improvements will enhance business sustainability, help create jobs, and revitalize commercial properties throughout Moore County,” said Burich.

The Rural Employment Development Incentive grant is designed to promote job creation in rural Utah. A business entity can receive up to $250,000 per year, and up to $6,000 per job created. New roles can be online or in a satellite or hub office, but must be physically located in the same county as the business. Eligible sites are either rural towns or cities with populations under 10,000 in Webster, Davis, Utah, or Washington counties.

The Small Business Start-Up Grant is designed to encourage entrepreneurs to support businesses in Walnut. The program provides up to $5,000.00 in grant funds to eligible businesses located in commercial districts within the city limits of Walnut.

CT Manufacturing Voucher Program
Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology

The Manufacturing Innovation Fund Voucher Program (MVP) provides CT companies with access to capital to help them obtain new equipment and the expertise they need to become more efficient, productive, and competitive. Eligible companies can apply for a grant up to $100,000 to conduct a new project. First-time applicants are required to provide a cash match of 2:1 and repeat applicants 3:1. That means, First time applicants provide 67% of the total proposed project cost and repeat applicants provide 75% of the proposed project cost. The program is administered by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology with funding provided through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development's Manufacturing Innovation Fund.

Chicago Small Business Improvement Fund

The Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) provides reimbursement grant funding for permanent building improvements and repairs across the city. Offered by the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) to tenants and owners of industrial and commercial properties, SBIF grants are funded by Tax Increment Financing (TIF) revenues in designated TIF districts citywide. Program participants can receive grants to cover between 30 percent and 90 percent of the cost of remodeling work, with a maximum grant of $150,000 for commercial properties and $250,000 for industrial properties. The grant, which is administered by SomerCor on the City’s behalf, does not have to be repaid.

MTI prioritizes awarding funds to companies in the following sectors: biotechnology, aquaculture & marine technology, composite materials, environmental technologies, advanced forestry/agriculture technologies, manufacturing, and information technology.
