New Mexico Small Business Assistance Program

The Prosperity Investment Program (PIP) offers a matching, reimbursable grant that helps Portland businesses and property owners make tenant improvements and small and large-scale improvements to new and existing buildings. The grant may be used for both physical improvement (hard costs) and eligible consulting assistance (soft costs) to support for-profit related business and property-related improvements associated with commercial, industrial, mixed-use, and market-rate housing projects. The program provides 75 percent matching funds for approved project hard and soft costs in all TIF districts. Total grant may not exceed $75,000 with a 75/25 match.

Purpose: The Song-Brown program funds institutions that train primary care health professionals to provide healthcare in California’s medically underserved areas. Description: This grant opportunity will result in funding organizations to train primary carenurse practitioners and physician assistant trainees to work in underservedcommunities. Such strategies shall incorporate the following elements: 1. Establishing procedures to identify, recruit and admit primary care nursepractitioner and physician assistant trainees who possess characteristicswhich would suggest a predisposition to practice in areas of unmet need, andwho express a commitment to serve in areas of unmet need. 2. Implementing counseling and placement program to encourage trainingprogram graduates to enter practice in areas of unmet need. 3. Providing a preceptorship experience in an area of unmet need to enhancethe potential of training program graduates to practice in such an area.

The Small Business Construction Mitigation Grant supports businesses in Salt Lake City that have been negatively impacted by nearby construction sites. Eligible independent merchants in the restaurant, retail, and bar spaces can get grants of $3,000 to put toward rent/mortgage, marketing, business improvements, and more.

The City of Newport News offers small grants to eligible e-commerce businesses, with a special focus on women-owned and minority-owned e-commerce businesses. Most businesses can get up to $2,500 in grant money; women and minority-owned businesses can get up to $4,500.

Establishing procedures to identify, recruit, and match primary care residents who possess characteristics which would suggest a predisposition to practice in areas of unmet need, and who express a commitment to serve in areas of unmet need. 3. Implementing counseling and placement programs to encourage training program graduates to enter practice in areas of unmet need. 4. Providing preceptorship experiences in an area of unmet need to enhance the potential of training program graduates to practice in such an area.
