ABOUT THE GRANT

Empire State Development’s Division of Science, Technology, and Innovation (“NYSTAR”), Innovation Matching Grants (IMG) Program aims to grow small businesses and support the development of new technologies in New York State by providing matching funds for federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants.

The New York State Innovation Matching Grants Program will match:
-The award for Phase I applicants, not to exceed $100,000
-The award for Phase II applicants, not to exceed $200,000

WBDC, in partnership with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC), offers grants of up to $25,000 to qualified child care businesses in Connecticut through its Child Care Business Opportunity Fund. Designed to help licensed and aspiring child care businesses grow, the Opportunity Fund has grant programs targeting different stages of business, from start-ups to those ready to expand.

Veteran Shark Tank
Greater Philadelphia Veteran Network

Compete for a $50,000 prize in the 12th annual Veteran Shark Tank on December 8, 2025, in Philadelphia. To qualify, your business must be under three years old, veteran-owned (at least 50%), and have a clean legal record. Use the prize to enhance your business. Submit your application by October 1, 2025, including a brief video pitch and a PowerPoint presentation outlining your business plan.

Racine County Matching Grant
Racine County

Through funding from Racine County, a Matching Grant Program (MGP) was established with the goal of providing a means for existing small and medium-sized companies to obtain the professional services necessary for a strong foundation for continued business growth and to provide jobs for Racine County residents. This grant reimburses up to 50% of eligible cost – up to $5,000 per applicant. Additional grants are available specifically to residents of both Burlington and Sturtevant.

UT Economic Assistance Grant
UT Office of Economic Opportunity

The Economic Assistance Grant program promotes economic development in Utah through business grants focused on industry, education, community development, and infrastructure. This grant is for one-time, project-based awards up to $200,000.

DC Robust Retail Citywide Grants
DC Department of Small Business

The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is excited to announce that we will accept applications for the FY 2026 Robust Retail Citywide Grants. The FY 2026 Robust Retail Citywide grant(s) support existing DC-based retail businesses in maintaining operations and viability. DSLBD intends to award up to $10,000 per business to approximately 50 businesses from the $500,000 in available Fiscal Year 2026 funding. This grant will be operated as a reimbursement grant, awarded via lottery to DC retail businesses that meet all eligibility requirements by the final deadline. Businesses that received a Robust Retail Citywide award in FY2025 are not eligible to apply.
