About the Grant
SEED supports the entrepreneurship of immigrants and limited English proficient (LEP) individuals who face significant employment barriers. The SEED Initiative will provide micro-grants, entrepreneurial training, and technical assistance to support them in starting or maintaining a small business in California aimed at addressing a social problem or meeting a community need.

WY Workforce Services
Internship Grants support Wyoming businesses in offering structured learning experiences, designed to improve work skills, knowledge, and abilities. Intern hours are capped at 480 over a six-month period, with businesses being reimbursed up to $18 per hour. Companies can host up to three internships per fiscal year.
Overland Park Micro Grants
Overland Park Chamber
The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council has launched a new micro grant program in which small business owners can apply for grants ranging between $500 and $3,000 to support business development and expansion. Eligible grant applicants must be an Overland Park small business with fewer than 25 full-time employees in business for at least one year and in good standing with the State of Kansas. Recipients must demonstrate financial stability and be able to match up to $3,000 in either monetary or in-kind investment.
Maui Agricultural Micro Grant
Maui Economic Opportunity
Applications for the popular Agricultural Micro Grant Program 6.0 – which offers up to $25,000 in grants to Maui County small farmers and ranchers – will be available January 2026. The $3 million Maui County – funded program, administered by Maui Economic Opportunity’s Business Development Center, is open to food producing farms on 12 acres or less, and livestock ranches up to 40 acres, possessing a State of Hawaii general excise license as of July 1, 2025. Preference will be given to women and Native Hawaiians. A limited number of grants will be set aside for flower/plant, lei making farms.
NJ Small Business Improvement Grant
NJ Economic Development Authority
Small businesses can apply for up to $50,000 to reimburse costs for building improvements or purchasing new furniture, fixtures, and equipment through the Small Business Improvement Grant. The program has awarded close to $13 million to over 500 New Jersey businesses since February. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted. Current processing time is 8 months from the application date.
Athens Business Façade Grant
Athens Downtown Development Authority
The Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) Janey Mae Cooley Memorial Façade Grant Program is intended to stimulate investment in the revitalization and preservation of building exteriors in Athens’ historic downtown area, the heart of the Athens Historic District and a source of pride for our community. Matching funds are made available for eligible improvements to business facades that are easily visible and in public rights-of-way, such as those that face a public street or a parking area. Improvements must preserve the individual character of each building with its unique features, historic appearance and significance, as well as make a contribution and impact to the appeal of the downtown area.
