About the Grant

The Vibrant Places program supports local businesses that invest in improvements to their exterior appearance, including facades, landscaping, signage, and windows. The goal of the program is to enhance the vibrancy and improve the physical appearance of our commercial, industrial and mixed-use buildings.

Grants range from $1,500-$50K based on business location and project scope. Maximum grant amount: $30K-$50K, depending on the location of the business. Businesses are required to contribute matching funds toward the total project cost. Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis. Businesses must cover expenses upfront and request reimbursement after project completion. Not all project components may qualify for reimbursement.

SCRA Academic Startup Grant
South Carolina Research Authority

The South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Member Companies may apply for a variety of non-dilutive grants, each with its own eligibility and review criteria. The Academic Startup Grant is focused on startups advancing intellectual property from institutions of higher education. Managed by the Academic Innovations team, the objective of the Academic Startup Grant is to provide earlystage funding to academic startups to support one or more critical milestones towards commercialization and to advance the company’s pursuit of follow-on funding. Key milestones include developing the technology past the minimum viable product (MVP) and demonstrating product-market fit, in the DEVELOP stage of startup development. Academic Startup Grants provide funding for up to $25,000.

Virginia Economic Development Incentive Grant
Virginia Economic Development Partnership

Virginia Economic Development Incentive Grants are designed to attract competitive projects to Virginia. Projects must be significant, creating hundreds of jobs in Virginia by relocating headquarters, administrative, or service sector operations to Virginia. Depending on location and wages offered, companies must create between 200 and 400 jobs, ranging from 150 to 200 percent of the local prevailing wage, and meet minimum capital or job investment requirements. Award amounts vary and are calculated based on a return-on-investment analysis, jobs and wages, capital investment, regional unemployment and poverty figures, and more.

DC Robust Retail Citywide Grants
DC Department of Small Business

The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is excited to announce that we will accept applications for the FY 2026 Robust Retail Citywide Grants. The FY 2026 Robust Retail Citywide grant(s) support existing DC-based retail businesses in maintaining operations and viability. DSLBD intends to award up to $10,000 per business to approximately 50 businesses from the $500,000 in available Fiscal Year 2026 funding. This grant will be operated as a reimbursement grant, awarded via lottery to DC retail businesses that meet all eligibility requirements by the final deadline. Businesses that received a Robust Retail Citywide award in FY2025 are not eligible to apply.

Civil Money Penalty In-Person Visitation Aid Grant
CA Department of Public Health

Purpose: This grant allows Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and associations on behalf of facilities to apply for funding for in-person visitation support materials. Description: CMP In-Person Visitation grants provide funding for nursing homes to facilitate safer in-person visits through use of outdoor and indoor equipment such as tents, clear dividers, portable fans, and portable room air cleaners with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA, H-13 or 14) filters in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Replacement air filters are a prohibited expense under this program. Facilities must attest they meet the requirements to purchase the materials and facilitate in-person visitation for residents. Facilities must be certified through the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Applicants may request up to a maximum of $3,000.00 per facility.

Delaware EDGE Grants
Delaware Division of Small Business

The EDGE Grant Competition is the Division’s flagship funding program aimed at helping young Delaware small businesses grow and scale. The program awards grant funds through a highly competitive selection process and pitch competition. Ten or fewer businesses in the Entrepreneur (general business) category will receive funding from a pot of $400,000, and eight or fewer businesses in the STEM category will receive funding from a $750,000 pot.
