ABOUT THE GRANT
The Downtown Building Rehabilitation (DBR) Grant provides business owners, Tribal governments, and nonprofits with reimbursement grants of up to $50,000 (or one-third of total project cost, whichever is lower) to finance code-compliant construction and remodeling projects on downtown commercial buildings. Funded by Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation (IRRR), Minnesota's economic development agency for the Iron Range region, and administered through a partnership with the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA), the program is available to businesses located within IRRR's northeastern Minnesota service area.
Eligible buildings must be located on a main street in a downtown area, though applications from other locations in commercial business corridors may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis if additional funds are available. Eligible costs must relate to code compliance and can include general construction, electrical, plumbing, elevator, ADA, mechanical, and sprinkler work, housing rehabilitation, lead and asbestos removal, storefront improvements, and new construction or remodeling in the event of fire or natural disaster. Up to 10 percent of the grant may be used for professional services such as architectural, engineering, or design assistance on code compliance issues.
Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed twice per year. A $500 AEOA application fee is required at the initial inspection and processed at project closing. Work cannot begin prior to approval and site inspection, and grant payments are made directly to the awarded contractor or vendor upon completion and final inspection. Applicants are limited to one project per year (additional projects considered case-by-case) and must have property taxes paid and up to date, along with verification from the Minnesota Secretary of State that the organization and any contractors are active and in good standing. Prevailing wage must be paid and certified payroll collected.

The Neighborhood Business Grant provides New York City small businesses with microgrants of up to $5,000 to fund initiatives that positively impact their community. Administered by CitizensNYC, one of New York's oldest microgranting organizations (founded approximately 50 years ago and made possible by philanthropic partners including leadership support from M&T Bank), the program funds community-minded businesses of all kinds, from barbershops and bookstores to wellness studios, cafés, and childcare providers, that play a positive role in their neighborhood. To qualify, applicants must operate a business located in one of New York City's five boroughs, have been operating for at least two years, employ 10 or fewer people, be profit-generating, and be able to provide proof of business such as bank statements, tax documents, and POS terminal statements. The program runs two grant cycles each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Applicants who are awarded grants through the first cycle are ineligible to apply again during the second cycle of that year, but unsuccessful first-cycle applicants are welcome to submit an updated application for the second cycle. Applications are scored across four key criteria: Need, Relevance, Urgency, and Quality of Life Impact. CitizensNYC also offers info sessions and online office hours to help applicants refine their project ideas and applications before submission.

The Commercial Façade Building Materials Grant Program provides funding to enhance and revitalize the aesthetics of Green Bay’s commercial districts. It aims to address deteriorating property conditions and encourage enhancements by providing a financial incentive for businesses to invest in their property. The Program is funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provided by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It is managed and administered by the City of Green Bay’s Community & Economic Development Department.
CFDA x NY Forward Grant Fund

The CFDA x NY Forward Grant Fund, created in partnership with the New York State Department of State, is dedicated to sustaining the New York City Garment District, the historic heart of American fashion production. The program will provide grants to New York City Garment District-based fashion manufacturers as well as designers producing in-house. Two rounds of funding will be distributed, one in 2026 and another in 2027, empowering businesses to invest in innovation, expand production capacity, and preserve local jobs, contributing to the revitalization of this commercial hub. In each round, one manufacturer recipient will also receive the Ralph Lauren Manufacturing Award, providing the full grant amount in recognition of the most innovative approach to advancing their business.
CO Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant

The Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant helps Colorado-based advanced industries technology businesses develop and commercialize advanced technologies that will be created or manufactured in Colorado. Projects can receive up to $250,000. This grant award maximum can be lifted for projects that impact more than one advanced industry. The market typically under-invests in early-stage technologies. The grant’s goal is to fill the gap left by the market. The grant is not meant to compete with existing funding.
