ABOUT THE GRANT

The Superior Small Business Grant Program provides Superior, Wisconsin small businesses with reimbursement of up to 50% of project costs, not to exceed $20,000, to fund storefront and streetscape improvements that beautify and stabilize the city's commercial corridors. Administered by the City of Superior's Planning & Development Department, the program prioritizes aesthetic improvements that enhance the appearance of local storefronts. Eligible applicants include privately owned businesses with a commercial storefront or brick-and-mortar location, nonprofits directly related to money-generating food service or retail organizations, and nonprofit arts and entertainment organizations. Grant applications are reviewed quarterly and require approval from both the Plan Commission and the Common Council. Awardees have 12 months to complete their project and submit receipts for reimbursement. Previous recipients must wait three years from the date of grant disbursement before being eligible to apply again.

Philadelphia Fair Chance Hiring Initiative

The FCHI program provides financial incentives to Philadelphia employers who hire local residents returning from incarceration within the last seven years. Eligible employers who hire qualifying employees can receive a $6 per hour wage reimbursement for compensable hours worked up to 960 hours within 180 days of employment and a one-time $500 employment retention grant for each FCHI employee who completes the new hire period.

Vantage Ventures Accelerator Program
Vantage Ventures

Vantage Ventures provides structured, direct, hands-on support to scalable early-stage startups in West Virginia through an accelerator program that helps startups test critical assumptions, create prototypes and products, gain early traction with customers, and prepare to pitch investors. Accepted applicants to the Accelerator Program will receive up to $10,000 in technical assistance funding provided by the federal government's Economic Development Agency as well as access to free co-working space in Reynolds Hall and at Ascend WV locations across the state.
