ABOUT THE GRANT
The GO TEXAN Marketing Enhancement Grant Assistance (MEGA) Program is designed to provide grant funds to GO TEXAN partners to assist with the marketing and promotion of certified Texas agricultural products, including those that have been produced, processed, or otherwise had value added to the product in Texas; certified Texas non-agricultural products; Associate GO TEXAN Registrants; and the GO TEXAN Program.
Applicants may request up to $40,000 for promotional activities, such as direct mailing campaigns, newspaper advertisements, tradeshow fees, and website creation. Qualifying products must be products produced, processed, or value added in Texas. Selected grant projects will receive funding via cost reimbursement.

NOTES
Please note that this grant program requires applcants to be "Tier 2" GO TEXAN members. While the grant application is due May 7th, new GO TEXAN members and existing members seeking to upgrade their partnership level must complete enrollment or upgrades by April 21, 2026, to be eligible to apply.

Beet Curly Top Virus Control Program Grants

Purpose: The Program may consider funding projects that develop new management methods for treating the beet leafhopper (BLH), or development of enhancements to other program areas that will mitigate the virus. The funding will be based on the researcher using a no pesticide alternative or Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) approved pesticides registered for use in CA on BLH and/or on rangeland/hillside. Businesses Reducing Impact on the Environment (BRITE)
Cook County DES
The Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability’s (DES) free Businesses Reducing Impact on the Environment (BRITE) program helps businesses reduce their environmental impact while creating a healthier environment for their employees, customers and community by offering on-site assessments to reduce pollution. Once an assessment has been completed, eligible businesses will have the opportunity to apply for grant funding. This funding will go towards solutions that save money, reduce impact on the environment and modernize operations.
CA Restraurants Care Grants
California Restaurant Foundation
The Restaurants Care Resilience Fund provides California independent restaurants and commercial caterers with $5,000 grants to build operational resilience and weather the financial pressures facing small restaurant operators. Administered by Restaurants Care, a program of the California Restaurant Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been supporting California's restaurant community since 1981), the Resilience Fund was launched in 2021 and has since awarded over $11 million in grants to more than 2,000 independent restaurants across the state, supporting burger joints, taquerias, bakeries, and other independently owned operators that serve as the heart of their communities. The fund is supported by corporate partners including PG&E, SoCalGas, Sysco, FreshPoint, J. Lohr Vineyards, EcoLab, Employers, and others. Applications are offered once per year, with multiple grant recipients selected annually (in 2026, the program awarded $5,000 grants to 256 independent restaurants and commercial caterers). Separately, Restaurants Care also operates a parallel emergency assistance program that provides up to $2,500 directly to individual food and beverage workers facing illness, injury, natural disaster, or death in the immediate family.
California Forest Improvement Program

Purpose: The purpose of the California Forest Improvement Program (CFIP) is to encourage private and public investment in, and improved management of, California forest lands and resources, to ensure adequate high quality timber supplies, related employment and other economic benefits, and the protection, maintenance, and enhancement of a productive and stable forest resource system for the benefit of present and future generations. Description: The program scope includes the improvement of all forest resources including fish and wildlife habitat, and soil and water quality. Cost-share assistance is provided to private and public ownerships containing 20 to 5,000 acres of forest land. Cost-shared activities include: Preparation of a Forest Management Plan by a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) and RPF Supervision of the following: Reforestation, Site Preparation, Trees and Planting, Tree Shelters, Stand Improvement, Pre-commercial Thinning or Release, Pruning, Follow-up (includes mechanical, herbicide and/or slash disposal follow-up), Forestland conservation practices / fish and wildlife habitat improvement Broadcast/controlled/cultural burning is not eligible for CFIP cost share.
