About the Grant
The Generating Income for Tomorrow (G.I.F.T.) Grant is designed to accelerate the growth of African American-owned businesses in Kansas City. It provides both capital and coaching to small businesses that demonstrate the potential for job creation and community impact.
Grants for eligible businesses in the amount of $10,000 are available multiple times per year. There’s also an annual $100,000 grant awarded each year in July. Businesses must be at least 51 percent Black-owned and must be geographically located within the Kansas City, MO, city limits.

Mind and Body Interventions to Restore Whole Person Health

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) announces this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for research on how mind and body interventions through psychological and/or physical inputs (e.g., mindfulness meditation, yoga, acupuncture, massage, and other brain and/or body based interventions) impact mechanisms of emotional well-being (EWB) and their associations with whole person health (WPH), consistent with the NIH priority to address the health needs of the American people and improve their well-being. The NOFO will support rigorous and well-powered mechanistic research studies that are supported by strong preliminary data. The studies should examine the effects of mind and body interventions on innovative mechanisms of EWB (as the primary outcome), as well as the associated relationship with the Whole Person Health Index (WPHI, as a secondary outcome).
Replacing, Removing, or Upgrading Underground Storage Tanks Loan

Purpose: RUST loans may be used to finance up to 100 percent of the costs necessary to upgrade, remove or replace project tanks, including corrective actions, to meet applicable local state, or federal standards, including, but not limited to, any design, construction, monitoring, operation, or maintenance requirements adopted pursuant to Health and Safety Code sections 25284.1, 25292.05, 25292.4, or 41954. Description: Replacing, Removing, or Upgrading Underground Storage Tanks (RUST) loans are available to assist small business underground storage tank (UST) owners and operators in financing up to 100 percent of the costs necessary to upgrade, remove, or replace project tanks, including corrective actions, to meet applicable local, state, or federal standards, including, but not limited to, any design, construction, monitoring, operation, or maintenance requirements adopted pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 25284.1, 25292.05, 25292.4, or 41954.
Civil Money Penalty In-Person Visitation Aid Grant

Purpose: This grant allows Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and associations on behalf of facilities to apply for funding for in-person visitation support materials. Description: CMP In-Person Visitation grants provide funding for nursing homes to facilitate safer in-person visits through use of outdoor and indoor equipment such as tents, clear dividers, portable fans, and portable room air cleaners with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA, H-13 or 14) filters in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Replacement air filters are a prohibited expense under this program. Facilities must attest they meet the requirements to purchase the materials and facilitate in-person visitation for residents. Facilities must be certified through the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Applicants may request up to a maximum of $3,000.00 per facility.
MassCEC Catalyst & DICES Grants
MassVentures
Catalyst provides up to seven grants of up to $75,000 to researchers and early-stage companies looking to demonstrate initial prototypes of their clean energy technologies. Diversity in Cleantech Early Stage (DICES), in parallel with Catalyst, awards three additional grants of up to $75,000 each for projects led by eligible (certified or certifiable) women-owned or minority-owned early-stage companies. The program is designed to demonstrate the feasibility of transforming new ideas from the research stage into commercially viable technologies that attract industry and investor interest. All awardees gain access to a vast network of partners, expert local market and policy insights, and mentoring from MassCEC and MassVentures, while all finalists receive complimentary pitch coaching and business mentoring.
Waco Corridor Beautification Incentive Grants
City of Waco
The City of Waco is investing in the community with the new Corridor Beautification Incentive Program! This matching grant offers up to $15,000 to help owners and tenants of retail, commercial, and multi-family properties to enhance the visual appeal of key corridors. Eligible improvements include landscaping, building facades, parking areas, signage, sidewalks, and public art.
