The MTI Innovation Funding program fuels groundbreaking ideas with grants, loans, and equity investments. Our seasoned team backs scalable businesses that drive Maine’s growth and diversify our industries. Funding amounts range from $10,000 to $250,000 depending on eligibility.

This program helps cover initial research, prototype development, and commercialization expenses. MTI prioritizes awarding funds to companies in the following sectors: biotechnology, aquaculture & marine technology, composite materials, environmental technologies, advanced forestry/agriculture technologies, manufacturing, and information technology.

Through the GOED’s Workforce Development Program, companies can access money to help train new and existing employees that require additional skills as the result of company growth. The program can fund up to 50% of eligible training expenses to companies that meet certain wage and benefit criteria. The funds are awarded on a reimbursement basis.

Idaho Registered Apprenticeship Incentive

The Registered Apprenticeship Incentive is designed to offset the extraordinary costs of utilizing a Registered Apprenticeship training program. Applications are reviewed quarterly by the WDC Grant Review Committee. Funds for this grant are distributed after apprentice completes 500 hours of on-the-job training (175 hours for Youth Apprenticeship)

Preclinical Proof of Concept for Novel Recording and Modulation Technologies in the Human CNS
National Institutes of Health

Awarded activities will facilitate the translation of novel recording and modulation technologies that can be used to treat and/or diagnose central nervous system (CNS) diseases and disorders and to better understand the human CNS, from proof of concept up to the stage of readiness for first in human (FIH) studies. Technologies may incorporate any signal modality (e.g., electrical, optical, magnetic, acoustic) or a combination thereof. Diverse team-based applications that integrate appropriate domains of expertise are encouraged.

Orlando Retail Stimulus Program
City of Orlando

The intent of the DTO Retail Program is to activate spaces within the downtown Orlando Community Redevelopment Area and establish the area within Downtown Orlando as a retail destination, to attract locals and visitors to visit downtown Orlando as well as attract new retail and encourage expansion of existing retail by reimbursing costs associated with interior buildout and rent of a newly leased property.

RI Local Agriculture and Seafood Act Grant Program
RI Department of Environmental Management

The Local Agriculture and Seafood Act Grant Program supports a variety of activities associated with promoting the growth and sustainability of local food and seafood industries in Rhode Island. Maximum grant awards are $20,000 for qualifying farms, businesses, and individuals. Funding priorities include, but are not limited to, new or existing agricultural or fishery businesses, new product development, safety improvements, or the development of new marketing, promotion, sales, and distribution channels.
