About the Grant

Match on Main is a reimbursement grant program provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). It supports new or expanding place-based businesses by offering up to $25,000 in funding through an application submitted, administered, and managed by the local unit of government, downtown development authority, or other downtown management or community development organization where the business is located.

The Façade Improvement Program offers a 50/50 reimbursement grant to developers, business owners, and tax-generating, income-producing commercial property owners in Oxford, AL seeking to enhance the exterior appearance of their buildings. Structured into three tiers, the program provides funding on a per-address, per-year basis. Eligible improvements include work on the front, rear, and sides of a building, as well as exterior doors, windows, shutters, gates, and other architectural or decorative elements that contribute to the overall façade. The program’s mission is to stimulate revitalization and attract private-sector investment by proactively addressing deteriorating property conditions and encouraging enhancements that boost the economic vitality of the area.

The award was created in honor of Mother’s Day and Founder’s First CEO Kim Folsom‘s mother, Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, who passed away in March of 2020. The Kitty Fund makes small micro investments in Moms who are running employer-based small businesses with two or more employees.

Academic-Industrial Partnerships for Translation of Technologies for Diagnosis and Treatment
