The Vibrancy Initiative is a collection of grant programs designed to support revitalization efforts that create jobs, reduce blight, and preserve and improve structures in Toledo, OH. The program includes three separate grants, all available on the same timeframe. Facade Improvement Grant Program The Facade Improvement Grant program helps property owners transform the facade of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use buildings by providing a 50% matching grant to reimburse expenses incurred during a comprehensive facade improvement. Planning Grant Program The Planning Grant Program provides financial support to small businesses and property owners seeking to activate ground-floor commercial spaces for occupancy by a new business – particularly in historically significant legacy commercial corridors. White Box Grant Program The White Box Grant program helps property owners bring vacant first-floor commercial spaces up to current code to create a functional "white box" space ready for customization and occupancy by a business.

This grant program is intended to help Connecticut supply chain companies with the adoption and integration of IoT solutions. The program will provide matching grants up to $25,000 for digital hardware, sensors, platforms, and related third-party integration services. Project proposals that fall under any of the Industrial 4.0 technology groups: Industrial IoT, Model-Based Definition, Extended Reality, and Adaptive Automation will be considered for funding. The goal of this program is to ensure that the Connecticut supply chain is positioned to implement modern digital manufacturing tools so that they can continue to compete favorably against any manufacturing sector in the world!

The Local Agriculture and Seafood Act Grant Program supports a variety of activities associated with promoting the growth and sustainability of local food and seafood industries in Rhode Island. Maximum grant awards are $20,000 for qualifying farms, businesses, and individuals. Funding priorities include, but are not limited to, new or existing agricultural or fishery businesses, new product development, safety improvements, or the development of new marketing, promotion, sales, and distribution channels.

The Dunn County Small Business Development Grant Program will offer eligible businesses up to $10,000 of funding to continue growing their operations and become more efficient. The grant funding can be used to access technical assistance through organizations like Western Dairyland Economic Opportunity Council and the Center for Innovation and Development at the University of Wisconsin Stout, help startups cover the cost of commercial space, and to match funding granted through other Economic Development Loan Fund Programs like the Revolving Loan Fund or Regional Business Fund.

This program assists in the creation of new small businesses or the physical expansion of existing small businesses in targeted commercial corridors by providing forgivable loans to qualified applicants. Eligible Applicants include new small business owners occupying vacant space, or expanding small business owners. The business must be located in a first-floor storefront unit with emphasis to the Creative Economy.
