ABOUT THE GRANT
The Inner Sunset Neighborhood Vibrancy Fund provides Inner Sunset small businesses in San Francisco with grants of up to $20,000 to support storefront beautification, technical assistance, and storefront activation across the neighborhood's commercial corridors. Administered by SF New Deal, a nonprofit that has strengthened San Francisco's small businesses and neighborhood vibrancy citywide since 2020, the fund is a pilot program financed by private donors and community members with a stake in the neighborhood, with expected support for up to 20 small businesses across three funding tracks.
-The Storefront Beautification track provides up to $10,000 to fund small but impactful storefront investments, such as replacing damaged awnings, repairing broken windows, or restoring outdoor planters.
-The Technical Assistance track provides up to $5,000 to help businesses cover the cost of professional services and other advisory support.
-The Storefront Activation track provides up to $20,000 to businesses that take over a vacant storefront in the Inner Sunset, offsetting the cost of opening in a previously empty space.
Applications are reviewed by a community advisory group of Inner Sunset neighbors, and there are no fixed caps on how much funding can go toward any single track (funding is directed toward the strongest applications regardless of category). The Inner Sunset was selected as the pilot neighborhood at the request of the initial donors, and future expansion of the model to other neighborhoods may be possible if additional community funding is secured.

As your company grows and develops, so will your demand for a larger well-trained workforce. Expanding your workforce can be costly, but through the help of WorkOne, you can reduce the cost of hiring and training new employees. WorkOne will reimburse employers up to 50% of new employee wages for on-the-job training. THIS IS NOT A TAX CREDIT. It is an actual check sent to your company for a portion of the trainees’ wages during the training period of up to six months. The training must pay at least $13.50 per hour.

The Rock Solid Fund, administered by the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce, provides grants to Nantucket-based small businesses to ensure their contribution toward a strong island economy. Ideally, applicants will use funds to execute an innovative project to ensure the growth and economic stability of their own business while creating a positive role model for others in the entrepreneurial community.
CT Manufacturing Voucher Program
Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology
The Manufacturing Innovation Fund Voucher Program (MVP) provides CT companies with access to capital to help them obtain new equipment and the expertise they need to become more efficient, productive, and competitive. Eligible companies can apply for a grant up to $100,000 to conduct a new project. First-time applicants are required to provide a cash match of 2:1 and repeat applicants 3:1. That means, First time applicants provide 67% of the total proposed project cost and repeat applicants provide 75% of the proposed project cost. The program is administered by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology with funding provided through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development's Manufacturing Innovation Fund.
AR Technology Transfer Assistance Grant
AR Economic Development Commission
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) provides limited financial support for the transfer and deployment of innovative technology. AEDC will fund up to $3,750 of costs associated with transferring new or existing technology from a qualified applicant — such as a public or private enterprise, laboratory, college or university — to an enterprise based in Arkansas. Up to $5,000 of total project costs will be considered, with the first $2,500 funded by the Authority; the remaining $2,500 is cost-shared equally (50:50) between the Authority and the enterprise. Each enterprise is eligible to receive assistance for two technology transfer projects per year. Projects are evaluated on a competitive basis.
