About the Grant
The Virginia Global Business Internship Program reimburses companies up to $6,000 for a talented university student to perform a ten-week summer internship at a Virginia company. Students will further the company’s export capacity and make progress on its international business expansion strategies. Eligible companies have at least five employees and operate in Virginia.

VIPC’s venture capital program, Virginia Venture Partners (VVP), supports entrepreneurs and founding teams building transformative companies in Virginia. VVP invests in technology, cybersecurity, life sciences, energy, and aerospace startups through grants, pre-seed, and seed-stage funding, providing the critical support needed to fuel company growth and success. The Launch Grant is a $50,000 grant opportunity for the next generation of transformative companies at the earliest stage of formation. Companies must meet the eligibility criteria outlined. A 1:1 non-dilutive capital or in-kind match is required.
NIOSH Exploratory/Developmental Grant Program
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - ERA
The purpose of this grant program is to develop an understanding of the risks and conditions associated with occupational diseases and injuries, to explore methods for reducing risks and preventing or minimizing exposure to hazardous conditions in the workplace, and to translate significant scientific findings into prevention practices and products that will effectively reduce work-related illnesses and injuries. NIOSH sponsors exploratory and developmental research projects by providing support for the early and conceptual stages of projects. Applicants must concisely describe the occupational health burden(s) being addressed in their proposal while also linking the need for the proposed research activities to planned outputs that will help address or alleviate this burden. Applicants should clearly articulate the anticipated impacts of the proposed research, both during the project period and beyond.

Pathway to Opportunity
Pathway to Opportunity is a competition designed to connect small businesses with corporations seeking to expand their supply chain with innovative products and services. Through Pathway to Opportunity, we aim to do more than provide a seat at the table—we strive to open doors and build relationships that can lead to long-term, sustainable contracts. Finalists are selected to pitch their businesses in front of a virtual audience, and three winners receive prizes of $5,000.
Alamo Small Bsuiness Grant
City of Alamo
The Alamo Small Business Grant Program is available to businesses located in the city of Alamo. It provides 50% reimbursement, up to $2,500, for projects such as storefront improvements, signage, repairs, renovations and equipment purchases. For a business to qualify for the Alamo Small Business Grant, it must have been in operation for a minimum of 24 consecutive months. Also, the business owner must have a yearly lease. In addition to completing an application, owners will need to describe their business, their project and the project budget. Tax returns for the past two years and documented leases from the business's landlord agreeing to the project are also required.
