About the Grant
The Opportunity Council Districts Program, an incentive-based initiative focused on encouraging growth in retail-stagnant areas within City Council Districts 3 and 5. The program will provide funding for property improvements to help businesses expand and attract new investment in Athenas, Alabama.
Eligible small businesses can apply for incentive awards of up to $20,000 for one-time, permanent upgrades. The funding is split evenly, with $100,000 allocated to each district.

The Department of Economic Development will offer grants on a square footage basis ($5/SF) up to $50,000. This grant would financially support upgrades, and in turn, make it financially feasible to expand operations or to lower rents. Therefore, companies with expenses associated with tech and lab buildout beyond standard “white-box” space are ideal candidates for the program.
PA SITES Construction Grant

The Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites Program (PA SITES) was established to provide grant and loan funding to eligible applicants to develop competitive sites for businesses to relocate or expand within the Commonwealth. The Construction Grants and Loans component provides grants and loans to serve as gap financing for strategic sites that need financial assistance to help reduce development risk for businesses. The grant and loan funding is intended to help finance strategic investments that will enhance sites across the Commonwealth to effectively compete for expanding and relocating businesses. The program will help reduce development risk for businesses by timeline reduction from the development of public infrastructure or reducing unknown development costs.
BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program

The BMO Celebrating Women grant program was launched as a way to ensure that women-owned businesses received the resources and attention they needed to thrive. Since its inaugural year, the grant has supported a multitude of women-owned businesses across Canada, and within various sectors and industries. The BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program is open to small businesses that are at least 51% women-owned. Additional eligibility requirements include that your business must have been in operation for at least two years, and your annual revenue cannot exceed $5 million. Fifteen female entrepreneurs will receive $10,000 grants.
SD Proof of Concept Program

The Proof of Concept program provides up to $25,000 to conduct research that demonstrates the technical and economic feasibility of an innovation before it is commercialized. The program is open to those committed to commercializing an innovation in South Dakota, such as entrepreneurs, universities, existing South Dakota companies and other entities. Investment proceeds may be used to pay consultant contracts, material and supplies, salaries for employees in South Dakota, and necessary services for technical feasibility or marketing studies.
