Salt Lake City Business Stabilization Grant
Salt Lake City
ABOUT THE GRANT
The Salt Lake City Business Stabilization Grant provides Salt Lake City small businesses with reimbursement grants of up to $3,500 per property per year to help pay for repairs to physical damage on the exterior of their business property. Administered by the Salt Lake City Housing Stability Division and funded through federal grant dollars, the program is designed to help small businesses stabilize after property damage and remain operational in their commercial locations. Awards are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, with the full application-to-payment process typically taking one to two months.
Eligible damages include repairs to broken windows, exterior lights, fencing, power lines, and other physical damage to the exterior of the business property. Insurance deductibles also qualify. The damage must have occurred no more than 120 days before the application date, repairs must already be completed at the time of application, and applicants must provide photographic proof of the damage and repairs alongside receipts or invoices demonstrating payment. Costs already covered by insurance are not eligible for reimbursement (the grant covers only remaining out-of-pocket costs). Graffiti removal, interior damages, vehicle damages, stolen goods costs, new security features, home-based businesses, and short-term or long-term rental properties are not eligible.
To qualify, businesses must be located within the program's designated annual target area (both sides of border streets qualify), hold an active Salt Lake City business license, and meet the program's definition of a small business (three locations or fewer, no more than 50 full-time equivalent employees, and independently owned rather than a franchise or chain). Tenant businesses must provide a letter of support from the property owner. Applicants must submit their application through the city's Neighborly online portal along with required documents including photographs, receipts, insurance policy and claim information, a completed W-9, and proof of business or property ownership. Applications are reviewed for eligibility within about two weeks. Approved recipients are set up as contractors in the city's financial system and receive their reimbursement check by mail, typically within another two to three weeks.

Royal Credit Union
The Royal Credit Union Small Business Grant provides pre-launch, startup, and early-stage small businesses in Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley with a $3,000 grant to support meaningful investments in the business, from startup costs to equipment and technology upgrades. Administered by Royal Credit Union (RCU), a Wisconsin-based credit union headquartered in Eau Claire, the program is designed to empower entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed, help create local jobs, and support small business owners in strengthening the communities RCU serves. The grant is currently offered as a pilot initiative, with the goal of expanding to additional communities within RCU's credit union footprint in the future. Atlantic City Revitalization Program
NJ Economic Development Authority
This relaunch of the Atlantic City Revitalization Program (“Program”) will continue to facilitate Atlantic City’s effective utilization of allocated funds for community-driven capital projects. The goal of this Program is to proactively address the negative economic impacts of the pandemic by investing in projects that demonstrate an ability to cultivate the environment and neighborhoods necessary to attract and retain a local workforce, enable business creation and tourism, enhance downtown vitality through small business support efforts, support clean and safe initiatives, address food insecurity issues, and buttress social impact supports for the community at large. Administered by the Authority, this Program will support real estate development, specifically capital projects (each, a “Project”) in the form of Grants, to support rehabilitation or new construction, as well as other development costs associated with an award between $250,000 and a maximum award of $2.5 million in grant funding to one Project. This will then meet the requirement of “Investing in Communities” by providing funding to activate underutilized properties for community focused investments and to activate projects that will catalyze new business sectors in NJ, support communities, and improve the business community within Atlantic City. This grant will improve investment in communities by working to activate underutilized, distressed, or vacant land for projects in order to promote equitable economic growth and community wealth building in Atlantic City.
Reimagine Oregon Grant
Prosper Portland
The Reimagine Oregon Economic Opportunity Investment Fund Grant provides Portland based for-profit businesses, nonprofits, and social service organizations with flexible grant funding ranging from $5,000 to $300,000 for standard projects, or $50,000 to $700,000 for large-scale anchor projects. Administered by Prosper Portland and funded through Recreational Cannabis Tax revenue, the program is focused on supporting economic and business development for communities disproportionately impacted by the historical prohibition of cannabis. Funding is awarded through two tracks. Track 1 supports for-profit businesses with grants designed to strengthen and grow existing operations, scale new businesses, and promote entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic growth across Portland. Track 2 supports nonprofit organizations and those operating under a fiscal sponsor with grants focused on building community wealth, promoting economic empowerment, and supporting social enterprises. Each track includes both standard grants and anchor project grants, with anchor projects supporting larger initiatives that act as catalysts for economic growth and community development. Eligible uses of funds are intentionally broad and include strategic investment capital, infrastructure development, business incubators and innovation centers, community-owned business support, job creation and training programs, mixed-use community hubs, employment opportunities, housing development, and property acquisition. To qualify, applicants must be located within the City of Portland, fit one of the eligible organization types (for-profit, nonprofit, or social service org with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor), and demonstrate how their proposal relates to and benefits communities disproportionately affected by cannabis prohibition. Direct political advocacy, personal use, and prior Reimagine Oregon grant recipients are not eligible.
